Every health professional touts ‘their’ method as the best for addressing back pain, but what does the general public think? In this day and age of believing friends’ word of mouth recommendations rather than pitch laden ads, it is refreshing to hear from the low back pain sufferers themselves.
A recent edition of CHOICE magazine addressed the public’s perception of the effectiveness of low back pain treatments.
What treatment was ranked number one? I bet you’re dying to know!
What treatments were considered? Chiropractic, Osteopathy, Acupuncture, Physiotherapy, Bowen Therapy and Alexander Technique.
And the winner is…I can barely contain myself…
PHYSIOTHERAPY! 79% of back pain sufferers surveyed considered Physiotherapy as the most satisfying form of treatment for their low back pain.
